About Caroline...
The first yoga class I ever attended - some 30 years ago - was an Iyengar yoga class in the suburbs of Johannesburg, South Africa. I was delighted to discover that my tension headaches and muscle spasms in my upper back disappeared. This kindled my interests in yoga, and shortly after moving to the UK some years ago, I decided to sign up for a 200hr yoga teacher training course in at Camyoga in Cambridge.
I'm sure that my story will sound familiar to many teacher trainees. I studied yoga to find out more about the benefits and history - more for my own interests and purposes - but then followed the natural progression into teaching, only to discover the pleasure derived from seeing those benefits being enjoyed by others.
In 2014 I completed my 500hr certification at Maya Yoga in Maui, under the wonderful teaching of Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini. I have also done the ante-natal yoga training at Camyoga in Cambridge and part of the John Scott 200hr Ashtanga Yoga training with Sandra Howling.
I continue to learn from and be inspired by a host of wonderful teachers and I have attended retreats, workshops, seminars or training given by many important international yoga teachers, including David Swenson, Rodney Yee & Colleen Saidman, Claire Missingham, Nicki Doane & Eddie Modestini, Liz Lark, Tara Stiles, John Scott, Manju Jois and Sharath Jois.
