What the class members have to say...
Yoga is always a very personal experience and everyone will take away something different from a class. Some of our class members offered to share their thoughts on yoga.

Yoga forces you to find peace - a precious commodity in anyone's life. The whole inside of your body is massaged and the sense of wellbeing is simply awesome. It's a workout and a half!
Caroline's sessions are hugely diverse, which is a delight and you need to be only true to yourself, there is no competition.

My hour of yoga is my one real moment of complete relaxation each week - peaceful and invigorating at the same time!
Yoga has helped me strengthen up, improve my flexibility and balance and learn how to mentally 'switch off'.
It's amazing to see yourself improve each week. Stances that once seemed impossible now feel easy!

Since starting yoga I have had no need to go to physiotherapy as all my aches have disappeared!

Returning to yoga after a ten-year break and two children was a scary prospect for me but I am so pleased that I did. Caroline’s classes are welcoming and varied so you can pick and choose the amount of effort you want to put in that particular day. She is extremely knowledgeable and always keen to share new information about poses and their origins. As for Yoga itself, it makes me feel energized, strengthens the body, improves my circulation and flexibility and gives me an enormous sense of wellbeing and calm at the end of a busy day. A great form of exercise for any age and it is never to late to start!

Yoga has improved my life in a number of ways. My working life is predominantly spent sat behind a desk at my computer. My posture and muscle tone have suffered as a result. I started yoga classes with Caroline two years ago and from the very first class I saw results. Stretching muscles and holding poses was far harder than I had imaged and took a lot of concentration when it came to balance and breathing.
As a result of my efforts the relaxation at the end of the class was incredible, it sounds silly but I nearly shed a tear, I had completely let go! Over the course of the two years my flexibility, strength, balance and knowledge of yoga have improved further than I had anticipated. Breathing is key and helps to engaged mind and body and I can now take time out when I need to, using simple breathing techniques. It's also helped with my cardio because I now fill my lungs whilst exercising which helps me push further for much longer.
Every week we do something different! I really enjoy trying different schools of yoga during our classes, it keeps it interesting and there is something for everyone, which work us in a different way. Caroline pays attention to detail and makes sure we are doing poses correctly, reminding us to breath and challenging us where possible.
Occasionally we learn more about the beginnings of the schools of yoga we practise. Whilst in a pose or sometimes during relaxation we listen to a reading, which engages us in our spiritual understanding.
Ashtanga yoga interested me greatly so I'm enjoying reading about it in my own time. I'm 32 and feel secure that yoga will play a big part in making sure as I get older, I stay flexible. I have a much better posture when sat at the computer because I'm more aware. But as well as that I always look forward to my weekly yoga class as my mind and body feel so relaxed - after I get the best night's sleep of the week.

I always leave class feeling fresh, and like I have achieved something. Because it's a friendly environment I feel comfortable to challenge myself to the best of my abilities without feeling pressured to push myself too far. I enjoy some of the tricky poses, but the relaxation is the part I enjoy the most.

I was advised to begin yoga by my physio after many years of pain following a severe car accident. My muscle tension was such that I frequently limped and had back pain. Very soon into my sessions I found that my muscles had begun to relax and I became far more supple. I was surprised by how quickly - even with just weekly lessons - I began to be more flexible and I had great pleasure in feeling my body coming back to life again. I have also found the breathing profoundly helpful in relieving stress. Even after the most stressful day I feel tensions melt away during the sessions.
Yoga has been a real gift.
